ALZE is a bit of a hidden gem in this otherwise sleepy neighborhood, and the lunch set prices are good at 1,000 yen for different kinds of chicken dishes. Also, the staff is easygoing so after becoming a regular here I asked if I could swap out the salad in their A set for some French fries with sweet chili sauce and they allowed the substitution (almost never happens in Japan). On nights where I didn’t feel like cooking I have also gotten a full chicken set to bring home ”

In addition to the food, the atmosphere was peaceful and the music was delightful. Also, the staff was kind and attentive. And if you don’t like crowds, 11am in a Wednesday is perfect timing. ”
